In addition, this insect netting significantly reduces or eliminates, the use of chemical pesticides and is great for organic growing UV Stabilized for a Longer Life - This insect netting has been specifically treated to improve its resistance against the damaging effects of the sun's UV rays. Mesh that is not UV stabilized will degrade quicker upon exposure to UV light, discolour and become brittle. Buyer beware: If an advert does not state it's UV stabilized then it probably isn't!
Finely Woven for Uniform Screening - The mesh size is 1.33mm x 1.42mm. The weight is approx. 65g/m2, light passage 90% and air passage 75%. The material is very durable and water permeable. In tests, it showed no deterioration after continuous exposure for a period of 60 months. In practice, this insect netting has lasted a period of more than 10 years. Ideal for most growing applications - can be used by agricultural growers, on the allotment, in your garden, greenhouse, polytunnel, as well as over cloches and raised beds.
The netting can be fixed to frames or hoops, or, it is light enough to lay flat over the bed/plants allowing enough slack for the growth of the crop, bury the edges or secure with pegs ensuring there are no gaps. This insect netting can also be used in conjunction with fleece to protect vulnerable crops against frost.
