Heavy Duty Frost Protection Fleece

Typically plant fleece comes in 17gsm, however, we are able to offer a thicker heavy duty 35gsm durable fleece fabric
. Used by gardeners, landscapers and UK farmers, this long life horticultural fleece is an economical way of saving plants and crops against severe cold weather conditions. This frost fleece is easily cut with scissors so you can shape to suit to wrap around shrubs and potted plants and to lay over young vulnerable plants.

The UV stabilisation of the product allows it to withstand degradation from rays of the sun for a longer period of time.  Another added benefit is that this fleece will help plants from unwanted visitors such as insects, foxed, rabbits and birds.

35gsm Fleece
This extra thick ‘no tear’ premium garden fleece provides greater protection during very harsh winters. Its construction means that it is better built for lower temperatures, heavier rain and greater heat retention. As the weather becomes more and more unpredictable this 35gsm cover will give you better piece of mind over colder snaps, windy days and very heavy rain.

For convenience we have now had the longer lengths of 50m & 100m half folded onto a roll. This makes life easier when using the fleece and also if you wish to double wrap some plants then you only need to wrap around once as the fleece is in effect twice the thickness as its already folded.

35 gsm Garden Fleece

Great value. Have already used it on more delicate plants in the garden. It seems robust enough to survive the winter and strong winds that we get here in West Wales. Like the fact that it has to be cut with scissors rather than just tearing it, which indicates it will last. Will see how it gets on by the time we get to April.

Frost Protecton

This is the first year we have covered our dahlias and strawberry plants. It was easy to lay down and we fastened with metal tent pegs. Looks good, strong , quality material. Looking forward to the results in spring!

Serious, top quality, winter weight fleece

Winter weight quality fleece to protect winter and early spring crops, why bother with lighter weight fleece? Excellent service again from QVS. Highly recommend.

Frost Protection 35gsm - Product:35gsm - 1.6M x 10m Flat Folded

This is my second purchase of the 35gsm Frost protection fleece. The product gave great results on my trail raised bed last season, Therefore I decided to purchase move fleece this season. With the cold spring this year , the fleece has helped in warming the soil for early growth.

The service was great, quick delivery. will use QVS Shop again.

Efficient and useful...

Great product for covering all of the vegetable plot. This year with the cold Spring I kept fleece over everything for several weeks. It allows rain to permeate whilst keeping plants safe from harsh winds. It is not entirely frost safe, but certainly helps to keep tender plants warmer and most of the frost off. I particularly like the folded version, it allowed me to tether one end whilst unfolding the rest of the pack across the planting area without it blowing around in the wind. I bought this two times this spring, as it became invaluable.

Strong stuff

This is much better than the standard fleece, heavier, stronger, harder wearing. We always buy this one only.

Excellent product

It is my first year of growing vegetables and I saw the recommendation on Charles Dowding's website. Given that April and May had so many cold nights I was pleased I had bought this weight of fleece. Now the weather has got warmer it has been washed and stored away to be brought out later in the year. I will be buying buy more of this fleece as I have created a further 4 beds which will need covering during winter.
