One of the highest quality Anti bird netting's on the market. Used for protecting fruit, vegetables and ponds against birds. The netting does not harm birds and the holes are large enough to let the bees in to pollinate the fruit.

It is UV stabilised and rot proof. It doesn't tear and has a life expectancy or around 10 years.

Ideal for covering fruit & veg - lay on the crops or over hoops or cages.

  • HD polyethylene.
  • Knitted 20mm x 20mm mesh.
  • 30gsm
  • UV protected.
  • Rotproof.
  • Black in colour.
  • Multipurpose.

IMPORTANT

When you receive the netting you may notice you have a longer length than you purchased, that's because for every meter in length you order you will actually receive 1.2 linear meters because of the way its packaged in a snake like length. The mesh shape will be like a diamond and as you stretch out the width of the net the diamonds will become squares and the length will shorten.

4m Wide Bird Netting

It's been only few months in use but feels like good quality and is looking promising. Too soon to say for sure but I have a feeling it will last few years. Much better than the one I've bought from b&q before.

This is a repeat buy I use this for my chicken runs to cover and prevent chickens getting out and wild birds getting in it is extremely easy to use and is hard wearing it has survived all the recent storms and hasn’t ripped or torn highly recommend this product and the price is right as well

BIRD NETTING

DELIVERY WAS VERY PROMPT AND NETTNG WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. HAVE ONLY RECENTLY PUT IT ON OVER SOME BEDS BUT IT LOOKS VERY STURDY AND SHOULD BE VERY EFFECTIVE. IT IS ALSO SEEMS TO BEVERY STRONG AS IT STRETCHES NICELY TO GIVE A GOOD TENSION OVER THE BEDS. WELL RECOMMENDED

Long time user

I have used this netting for several years now, mostly on soft fruit but also on veg on home made frames. It has performed well against birds. Not so well against squirrels but then not much does!!!

We tend to keep it on just for the part of the season when the fruit is vulnerable and pack it away for the winter (in mouse proof boxes!). Apart from some damage by the squirrels, and some self inflicted ( branch snags), it shows no deterioration that I can see and that is after 4 seasons. Holes are easily repaired.

One minor criticism/comment is that in practice the specified sizes tend to be short/narrow because of the nature of the tension in the net. If you are going to stretch it and fix permanently to a frame, it's fine but if you are relying on coverage with the netting hanging loose, allow for plenty of overlap. When ordering, juggle with width versus the length.

If you put it on the ground to fold or cut, make sure the area is clear of twigs and in particular brambles; they're are a right pain to get out once caught up!

Perhaps I am being mean not giving highest rating but I do recommend this netting as good value for money so long as you look after it. I will be buying more!
